Landscape and Places

Barns-Graham sought to express the rhythm, structure and character of landscapes varying from glaciers in Switzerland, hills in Tuscany, and volcanic areas of Lanzarote, to the coastlines of Cornwall, Fife and Orkney. Acute observation skills are demonstrated through her use of line, while she used colour to express the mood and atmosphere of a place.
